Three Luxury Shepherd’s Huts near Loch Lomond with Panoramic Views

Step into our beautiful, calming sanctuary in the Scottish countryside. Fresh air, good sleep and active movement. Feel like yourself again.

A place to slow down

Our shepherd’s huts sit quietly in the countryside near Loch Lomond, surrounded by over 6,000 plants that we and our small team put in the ground. Inside, it’s warm, natural and cosy. Outside, it’s the hills, the loch and the wildlife.

Start the day slowly then head out for a hike along the forest trails. Walk into Drymen village when you want company, or stay put when you don’t. Simple, self-catered and yours to enjoy at your own pace. When you’re ready to venture out, visit our guide to exploring the local area.

Closer to everything than you might expect

Nàdar sits just outside the village of Drymen, surrounded by open countryside but surprisingly close to some of Scotland’s best-known places.

The West Highland Way is around a 10-minute walk from your hut, Loch Lomond is about 15 minutes by car, and you can be heading north into the Highlands in no time. Glencoe is around two hours away, making it easy to spend a day exploring further afield before returning to the peace and quiet of Nàdar.

Glasgow Airport is roughly 45 minutes away, making Nàdar an easy place to reach whether you’re starting a Scottish adventure, finishing one, or simply looking for somewhere to slow down for a few days.

Our vision

Nàdar: Scottish Gaelic meaning ‘Nature’

Pronounced: NAH-dur.

We chose the name Nàdar because it reflects what surrounds us, but also because of the Gaelic heritage of this part of Scotland. It felt like a simple way to connect the place we’ve created with the history of the land we’re lucky enough to call home.

Sauna

Unwind in our
wellness area

Designed for two, our outdoor sauna is a lovely place to slow down, warm up and take in the views across towards Dumgoyne and the Campsie Fells.

When you’re ready, step outside for a refreshing cold shower beside the sauna. Go back and forth between the heat and the cold as often as you like, or simply enjoy the sauna on its own.

If you’re tempted to take things a little further, Millarochy Bay on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond is around a 15-minute drive away and a popular spot for a cool dip.
