Stay at Nàdar

Home • Stay

Settle into one of our three shepherd’s huts for a self-catering glamping stay at Loch Lomond — warm, peaceful and welcoming whatever the weather.

Combining the cosiness of a traditional Scottish bothy with contemporary Scandinavian design, our huts Juniper, Birch and Willow each sleep two adults and have everything you need for an easy, comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and private en-suite bathroom with shower.

Each hut shares the same considered design, with black timber cladding, Crittall aluminium doors, oak flooring and natural sheep’s wool insulation. Designed for year-round stays, they’re warm and cosy in winter, light and airy in summer, with wide views out to the surrounding landscape.

A little less to think about

We know that even a relaxing break can come with a surprising amount of planning — especially when you’re not quite sure what a self-catering stay will provide. So we’ve tried to make that part easier, with the practical details already thought through for you.

You’ll find a comprehensive list of everything included in your hut, so you can pack with confidence and arrive knowing the essentials are already taken care of. If you’d like to make your stay feel a little more special, we also offer a selection of hampers and extras that can be added to your booking.

A comfortable king-size bed is ready for you at the end of the day, with the option to have it set up as two singles instead. Just let us know in advance and we’ll have it prepared for your arrival.

If there’s anything else you’d like to know before you arrive, our FAQs cover everything from check-in times to what’s provided.

What Our Guests Say

“After a chance meeting with owners Neil and Jenny, I had the pleasure of visiting Nàdar. Hands down, these are the most tranquil, high-spec, and beautifully designed shepherd’s huts I’ve ever seen—a true sanctuary from the hustle and bustle.

The location is unbeatable: a peaceful 10-minute walk into the local village and just a 10-minute drive to the best of Loch Lomond. I’m already planning my return trip to test out the outdoor sauna and incredible cold shower setup. A must-stay!”

Bryan Barrett · August 2026

“We were lucky to come across this treasure of a place when we were planning on visiting the area for the weekend to attend a wedding nearby. Nàdar is a peaceful escape not too far a walk from Drymen. There are three shepherds huts- our one was called Willow and had everything we needed for a weekend- very comfortable and cosy with lovely Scottish products.

Admiring the view across the field was a perfect way to wind down in the evening whether seen from inside the large window in the sauna or from the patio area outside the hut. The gardens are in their infancy with copious amounts of plants but we will certainly plan to be back to see them as they mature. Overall an idyllic and peaceful escape for a weekend.”

Sheila Morris · August 2026

“We absolutely loved staying at Nadar, the hut is beautifully kitted out with lots of special touches; fluffy towels and robes, a super comfy bed, fun games and great books. Jenny and Neil are wonderful hosts and we were blown away by the breakfast hamper with gorgeous local yoghurt and Jenny’s homemade granola. Just listening to the birds and watching the sunset in this tranquil, beautiful place was blissful; we had such a relaxing weekend, we honestly felt like we’d had a week away.”

Holly Nairn · August 2026

“If you want to experience a little piece of Scottish paradise, I couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough. The views are absolutely spectacular, the hosts are wonderful, and the shepherd’s huts are perfect — beautifully cosy, thoughtfully equipped, and with all the modern comforts you could wish for.

It’s the perfect place to escape, relax and take in the stunning surroundings. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return in a heartbeat!”

Jayne Uren · August 2026

“Gorgeous spot and top-notch space and outrageously comfy bed. Had a wonderful cold shower (in the outdoor sauna space) during the hot spell. And a very nice fluffy warm one in the cabin too. Really well designed & equipped kitchen and some delightful wee touches around the space. Planted areas full of colour and buzzing with life 🥰🦋🌱”
